The following is our code of ethics and ALL who operate under our name/logos/online platform/other, including also the attendees (students/companies/authorities who chose us for their skills upgrade) must read and accept BEFORE they proceed in any operations/collaboration/other.
Ethics plays a fundamental role in our group, influencing various aspects of our operations and culture. Here is an overview of the key roles ethics plays in ISO-SEC:
- Establishing a Moral Compass: Ethics provides ISO-SEC with a moral compass, guiding decision-making and actions. It sets the foundation for what is considered right and wrong within the organization, helping our team and leader to make ethical choices, especially when in the past external partners used ISO-SEC’s name and infrastructure to mislead their students. Our ethics does not allow this kind of people to exist between us and this is the reason we have banned them permanently from all our activities and we announced publicly this decision of ours.
- Creating a Positive Organizational Culture: Ethical values and principles help shape our organizational culture. When ISO-SEC prioritizes ethics, it promotes a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. This, in turn, fosters a positive and healthy environment for the team and the students.
- Building Trust: Ethical behavior is crucial for building and maintaining trust with various stakeholders, including customers/students, employees, the outsourcing team, investors, and the community. Trust is a valuable asset that can enhance ISO-SEC’s reputation and relationships.
- Compliance with Swiss and Local Laws and Regulations: Ethical conduct aligns with legal and regulatory requirements. We prioritize ethics and this leads us to comply with laws and regulations, reducing the risk of legal issues and fines. We don’t offer degrees, but only skills-upgrade seminars, except if this is clearly stated in THIS platform (www.iso-sec.com) and noted also the University that offers the accreditation. Also, it is known that we demand our local partners around the world to exist legally and officially, by holding a local company and getting all local licenses from their ministry of education. Until they get their licenses, they should offer only skills-upgrade courses (seminars). Possible legal or other disputes in their country hold accountable only our local partner and in no case ISO-SEC Switzerland.
- Team Morale and Engagement: Ethical organizations tend to have higher team morale and engagement. When teams perceive that their organization values ethics, they are more likely to feel proud of their work and be committed to their roles. That’s why ISO-SEC insists on ethics.
- Risk Management: Ethical organizations like us, are better equipped to identify and manage risks. Ethical decision-making can help prevent and mitigate risks associated with unethical behavior, which can have legal, financial, and reputational consequences. There are people in our industry who mislead their students. DO NOT do the same. For example (but not limited to) we DON’T allow our students to believe that a certificate we issue (without the official partnership of a University) is a Degree. Degrees and Diplomas are issued only by accredited academic institutions, and/or by registered organizations that offer accredited -by governmental authorities- courses. Be VERY cautious in the design and promotion of misleading brochures and fliers, because if you do so the legal responsibility will be solely yours and not ours.
- Enhancing Customer Loyalty and Reputation: Organizations like ISO-SEC that uphold ethical standards are often rewarded with customer loyalty and a positive reputation. Customers are more likely to support and remain loyal to businesses they perceive as ethical. This is the reason that in Africa most of our students hold more than 5 (usually more than 10) different ISO-SEC Certificates.
- Long-Term Sustainability: Ethical organizations Like ISO-SEC are often more sustainable in the long term. By considering the ethical implications of their actions, organizations can avoid short-sighted decisions that may lead to long-term negative consequences.
- Social Responsibility: Ethical organizations engage in corporate social responsibility initiatives, contributing to the well-being of society and the environment. This demonstrates a commitment to broader social and environmental issues.
- Leadership and Role Modeling: Ethical leaders like our President, set an example for employees and the organization as a whole. Leadership that embodies ethical principles can influence employees to follow suit and create an ethical workplace. The decision maker about the low-cost courses, was since day one our President, having as a lighthouse his vision for affordable education and training all over the world.
- Innovation and Creativity: Ethical organizations like ISO-SEC encourage innovation and creativity. When teams feel that their organization values ethical problem-solving and innovation, they should be more motivated to think creatively and propose new solutions.
- Competitive Advantage: An ethical reputation can be a source of competitive advantage. It can differentiate an organization from its competitors and attract customers and partners who prioritize ethical business practices. ISO-SEC “plays in an empty stadium”, as not many organizations can share the same values, as they use education provision, as nothing more than a money-making business. Education is a multi-billion-dollar industry, and many times attracts opportunists and scammers. Because of this, we MUST keep our impeccable ethics as our flag, and no “discounts” in ethics should be tolerated by any of us.
In summary, the role of ethics in the International Security Organization – ISO KLG (ISO-SEC) is multifaceted and influences various dimensions of our organizational environment. Ethical behavior is not only a matter of moral responsibility but also contributes to the long-term success, reputation, and sustainability of our Group.
